A perfect lakeside retreat
Sipping coffee on the terrace while basking in the stunning lake views made every moment enjoyable. The helpful staff arranged everything for my Tikal trip seamlessly.
However, the bathroom lacked proper privacy, which can be uncomfortable, and the amenities felt somewhat dated compared to the price.

Perfect spot for solo adventurers!
The staff was helpful, like when I arrived late,, they made sure I got a ride to Tikal at 5AM the next day. And the air conditioning? It worked like a charm in that sweltering heat, just a lifesaver really.
It cost a bit more than I wanted to pay, but it was still within reason.

great views but noisy nights
The room provided a stunning view of the lake from the terrace. The staff were exceptionally attentive, always ready to assist. I particularly enjoyed the evening ambiance as the sunset reflected on the water. The proximity to local dining options was a plus, offering a variety of cuisines within walking distance.
At night, the noise from the nearby party boats was quite disruptive.

Helpful staff made it easy to navigate the area and arrange tours, especially as my Spanish is limited. The room was clean, and daily housekeeping kept everything fresh. Scrambled eggs at breakfast were a highlight, although the restaurant service was a bit slow during peak times. The location can't be beaten, with stunning views from the terrace, but the noise from nearby streets occasionally disrupted the peace.

I really enjoyed my time at Casa Amelia. The lake view from my room took my breath away every morning. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room nice and cool, which was essential after exploring Tikal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the sunset, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day. The restaurant served delicious meals at reasonable prices. On the downside, the wifi was unreliable in my room, which was frustrating when I needed to stay connected. Also, the quality of the toilet paper wasn’t great. I had some noise disturbances from nearby clubs, but the air conditioning drowned out the worst of it. Still, the overall clean and spacious room made up for it. I highly recommend this hotel but hope they address the wifi issues soon.
